Paneer Pasanda My Way !!!

Paneer (Cottage Cheese) is a Veggies Delight ….and a rich source of protein . I have tried paneer recipes several times with different ingredients and they turned out to be tummy’s delight . Let me share with you my way of cooking it …..Paneer Pasanda !!!

Ingredients : 400 g of Paneer (cottage cheese) cut into cubes ,2 tablespoon cooking oil ,  2 medium sized onions made into fine paste, Garlic paste 2 teaspoons , Ginger paste 2 teaspoon, 1 medium sized Onion diced , 1 medium sized capsicum diced , 1 medium sized tomato diced . 1 teaspoon coriander seeds , 2 to 3 red chillies (dried ) 1 teaspoon cumin seeds,1 teaspoon of kashmiri red chilly powder ,1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder , 1 teaspoon of coriander powder ,1 teaspoon of cumin powder, 1 teaspoon dry kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves ) , Salt to taste , 1/2 teaspoon sugar ,1 tablespoon fresh cream, 1/2 cup of luke warm water ,chopped coriander for garnishing .

Method :

Firstly cut paneer into cubes and keep it aside in a bowl  , now put a pan on flame and heat the cooking oil until fuming, now slow the flame and add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds , 2 to 3 red dried chillies , and 1 teaspoon coriander seeds, make sure the flame is now on minimum so that it doesnt burn the whole spices. Add Onion paste along with ginger and garlic paste , saute the ingredients until light brown , Do not overcook the ingredients to golden brown .Now add all the dry spices along with salt and sugar , stir for a minutes and add diced capsicum , Onion and tomato. Saute the ingredients for 2 to 3  mins in slow flame  till diced tomatoes are tender and separate oil .Add kasuri methi and paneer cubes and fresh cream, luke warm water in the cooking pan . cook the paneer for another ten minutes in slow flame until it soaks all the ingredients well most importantly salt. Plate the dish hot along with chopped coriander  as garnish on top .

Note : If you want to avoid fresh cream you may try the recipe with 1/2 cup skimmed milk .
