Its my granny’s recipe and was my favourite fish recipe since childhood. The crispiness, burnt garlic aroma and Indian spices just tempt you enough to not only taste it but have a full platter. This is a perfect blend of taste and health . fish being rich in protein and to make it spicy and tasty just makes it better to eat. Do try this recipe and get out of your boring routine fish curry for a awesome change.
Ingredients : 500 g Rohu fish with bones (Fillets can be an option),2 tablespoon garlic paste, 1/2 tablespoon ginger paste, 2 teaspoons cumin powder, 1 teaspoon red chilly powder, 1 teaspoon red chilly flakes, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon lemon juice , 1 teaspoon coriander powder, salt to taste, 1 tablespoon corn starch, Mustard oil for grilling.
Servings : 4 to 5
Method : Firstly make a smooth paste of garlic paste, ginger paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilly powder, turmeric powder corn starch, 1 teaspoon mustard oil and salt and keep it aside. Now coat fish with salt lemon juice and chilly flakes and keep aside in refrigerator for 10 minutes. Now coat the fish with prepared spicy paste and keep it for another 15 minutes. Once the fish gets marinated with two different types of marination heat a grilling pan and sprinkle some mustard oil. Let the oil heat and fume and gradually add on all the fish pieces on the pan and grill it for 10 minutes on both sides. Serve it hot with lemon wedges . To eat it squeeze in the juice from the lemon wedges over the fish and just have it without any thinking.
Note : You may choose fish of your own choice . This marination goes well with all fish types.
