Carrot Rice !!!


As I promised yesterday I am back with a new recipe . The dish is quick and very simple. Carrot rice has a sweet taste which gives it a distinctive identity compared to other rice dishes. Its perfect recipe for a fine dine .Indian dishes are very elaborate and pain staking  (Yes Indians love to slog in kitchen) but this particular dish was easy to prepare and very simple to cook . Addition of few whole spices and its done . I prefer quick and tasty dishes as we don’t have time these days to spare half a day in kitchen. Welcoming guest in your home is lot more easy with such recipes. Note down the key ingredients and get started .

Ingredients : 2 cups of 80 percent cooked Basmati rice, few star anise , few dry red whole chillies, 1 teaspoon red chilly powder, 2 cups of finely grated carrot, salt to taste, 1 tablespoon olive oil.

Servings : 3 to 4

Method : Once you have assembled just heat olive oil in a pan. Add the whole spices and then add carrot. saute it for 2 minutes and add red chilly powder and salt. saute for another minute and add the rice . Mix the rice with the sauteed mixture very gently keeping each grain intact . Once done Serve hot. Simple to the core.
